Kraken is an end-to-end platform used for utility digitalisation by companies, has reached 2 GW of managed power from over 500,000 connected devices. These include EVs, heat pumps, solar panels, home batteries and smart thermostats. The platform uses AI to shift loads in real time based on grid demand. It helps charge and heat when energy is cheapest and most available. This has saved consumers an estimated $200 million annually. The system manages peak demand equal to 3.5 million homes. It also supports grid stability and reduces emissions. Kraken powers half of the UK’s grid-scale batteries through utility partnerships.
