Janta Power, a United States–based developer of three-dimensional solar tower systems, has closed a USD 5.5 million seed funding round led by MaC Venture Capital with participation from Collab Capital. According to Janta Power, the investment will support the scale-up and commercialization of its patented 3D PV tower technology across data centers, EV charging hubs, telecom towers, and industrial facilities. JantaPower’s vertical solar towers are engineered to generate about 50% more energy than traditional flat-panel systems while using one-third of the land area. Pilot programs have been launched with Munich International Airport, Aena, and Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport under the Airports for Innovation initiative. Each 3D structure is designed for high wind resistance, improved energy yield, and a lower levelized cost of energy of approximately USD 0.05 per kWh.
