The International Solar Alliance (ISA)has signed an agreement with the College of Science and Technology (CST), Royal University of Bhutan (RUB), to operationalize the Solar Technology Application Resource Centre(STAR-C)established in FY 2024–25. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources(MoENR). ISA has provided  $67,900 to CST for FY 2025–26 as operational funding. The funds wereallocated to cover STAR-C’s operational and programme support costs. Discussions were held between ISA, CST, and MoENR on the centre’s next steps. The focus was placed on developing Training of Trainers programmes for solar technology. Work was also identified on standards and testing for panels, inverters, systems, and batteries. STAR-C was positioned to support broader solar adoption in Bhutan.
