Spain-based Iberdrola has signed a power purchase agreement with Italy’s Selex Group for 1,250 GWh of renewable electricity annually. The supply will come from 77 MW of solar capacity, scheduled to begin in July 2026. Selex Group, which consists of 18 affiliated companies and operates 3,331 outlets, has over 42,600 employees. The agreement included a contractual structure allowing energy distribution across associated companies under shared terms. Iberdrola said the deal helped Selex keep energy costs stable and limit price risks. It was expected to cut about 37,000 tons of emissions every year. Selex noted the agreement strengthened synergies among its affiliates in energy supply. Iberdrola already has similar PPAs in Italy with BTicino, Bayer, Acciaierie Venete, and other industrial groups.
