UK-headquartered Grenergy has signed an agreement with Ingeteam to supply 1 GW of inverters for phases 4 and 6 of the Oasis de Atacama projects. This collaboration has followed previous work in three phases, bringing the total to 2 GW with 610 inverters across 305 energy transformation centres. The new order includes 298 inverters, a Power Plant Controller system, and commissioning services. Grenergy and Ingeteam have worked together since 2016 in Chile, Spain, Mexico, and Colombia. Their combined projects have reached over 3.5 GW to date. Ingeteam’s Grid Forming technology has enabled inverters to act as synchronous generators to support power grid stability. This deal aligns with Grenergy’s recently announced €3.5 billion plan for 2025–2027 to scale hybrid solar and storage capacity across Chile.
