Grenergy, a Spain-based renewable energy company, has launched a 1.7 TWh reverse auction in Chile through its local subsidiary GR Power. The auction is targeting generators, marketers, and large consumers seeking energy between the first half of 2026 and mid-2027. According to Grenergy, 1,400 GWh will be supplied as stored battery energy during nighttime hours, while 300 GWh will come from direct photovoltaic generation. The company said that this is its second reverse auction in the region, following an earlier one in March 2022. As per GR Power, the auction is being conducted via the local platform Match Energía, with applications accepted until May 6.
