Italy’s GreenGo, an Independent Power Producer, has partnered with Gruppo Altea and Industrie D’Amico Service for engineering and construction. Together, they are building four utility-scale solar PV plants in Sicily and Marche, totaling 19 MW. The projects are under construction and expected to generate 36GWh annually, supplying power to 15,000 households and avoiding 14,900 tons of CO emissions. Technologies include bifacial modules on single-axis trackers and 65 Huawei inverters. GreenGo secured 32.6 million from Intesa Sanpaolo and signed a 10-year PPA with Sasol Italy in 2024. Dirillo (0.6MW) and Pianaccio (5.3MW) are set for Q4 2025 commissioning, while Soparita (8MW) and Poggiarelli (5MW) will follow Q2 2026. Soparita is an agrivoltaic project co-financed through PNRR funds. GreenGo has aimed to scale its IPP model and qualify for Italys FER X auctions by September.
