Switzerland-based GoldenPeaks Capital, an Independent Power Producer and Trader, has commissioned a 64.56 MW solar power plant near Bodroghalom, Hungary. The plant began production through its local branch Spectris. The plant was designed to produce 94.6 GWh of electricity annually, supplying power to over 30,000 people and offsetting around 863,394 tons of CO₂ emissions over its lifetime. The Bodroghalom solar plant is the first of several projects that GoldenPeaks Capital plans to develop in Hungary. It came nearly a year after the company signed its first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in the country. Construction was completed in 8 months despite winter weather, using updated technology to reduce environmental impact and support grid stability. Recently, GoldenPeaks Capital acquired 400MW of ready-to-build projects in Poland.
