Germany-based GOLDBECK SOLAR and Elysium Solar Schönefeld GmbH have started construction of a 48 MW Agri-PV park in Schönefeld. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2026 following a ten-month construction period. It is owned by Klimavest, the real asset fund of Commerz Real.Once the plant begins operating, it is expected to produce around 59 GWh of electricity each year. This output is sufficient to supply electricity to nearly 16,500 households in Brandenburg. The project is also estimated to reduce carbon emissions by 21,500 tons yearly. The design uses bifacial modules with Agri-PV tracker technology to optimize energy yields. Agricultural use is maintained through adequate row spacing between solar structures. The site near Schönefeld Airport required terrain adjustments, utility coordination, and clearance of World War II ordnance before construction began.Earlier, GOLDBECK SOLAR delivered a 90 MW PV park in Poland, which connects contextually with the new Agri-PV project in Schönefeld.
