Argentina-based Genneia inaugurated the Malargüe I Solar Park, a 90 MW photovoltaic facility, its first in Mendoza and fourth nationwide. The project supplied energy to large industrial users and supported the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER). Covering 312 hectares, the park included 160,000 bifacial solar panels and solar trackers. With an investment of over $90 million, the project generated 280 indirect jobs during construction. During the event, Genneia also announced a 150 MW solar project in San Rafael with a $150 million investment.Together with the 180 MW Anchoris Solar Park under construction in Luján de Cuyo, these projects increased Mendoza’s renewable energy capacity. By 2026, Genneia planned to invest $400 million and add 420 MW to the grid.
