Argentina-based Genneia has announced the construction of the San Juan Sur Solar Park in Sarmiento, San Juan, with a $110 million investment. The 130 MW project became Genneia’s fourth in the province and was designed to supply power to large industrial users, including the mining sector. The announcement took place at the Government House with participation from Genneia executives and San Juan government officials. The project planned to install 250,000 bifacial panels across 500 hectares, create 300 peak construction jobs, and avoid 160,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. It increased Genneia’s total installed capacity in San Juan to 350 MW.
