US-based GameChange Solar has secured its first solar tracker project in New Zealand with Bright Fern Energy. The 23 MW Dannevirke Solar Farm is scheduled for commissioning by March 2026. It is the first of three fully consented projects Bright Fern Energy is developing over the next 18 months. The project will deploy the Genius Tracker 1P system with a four-string configuration. It also includes SpeedClamp technology to cut installation time and costs, marking its first regional use. HailStow functionality is integrated to tilt modules during hail events, reducing damage risks. GameChange Solar was engaged early in engineering, completing a detailed cut and fill assessment that helped optimize site design. Both companies confirmed that technical alignment and tailored solutions were central to project development.
