Denmark-based European Energy has agreed to operate Heartland’s 207 MW Gedmose solar park from January 2026. The company said the site was connected in 2021 and supplies electricity equal to more than 50 000 households. The park is located near Holstebro and is backed by PPAs with BESTSELLER, Normal, Nemlig.com and Faerch. European Energy confirmed this is its first operations contract for a project it neither developed nor owns. The agreement has expanded its asset-management portfolio, which covers 4 GW of renewable capacity. Heartland said the project was created to support long-term renewable investments. European Energy stated it has strengthened its technical and digital capabilities to reduce downtime and improve performance. The company added it is preparing further O&M and BESS expansions in Denmark and internationally.
