The Austrian Ministry of Economic Affairs has announced EUR 70 million (~$ 79.48 million) in investment grants for renewable energy projects in 2025, including a 20 per cent 'Made in Europe' bonus for projects using EU-manufactured components. The Austrian Ministry of Economic Affairs confirmed that the funding met the minimum legal requirement for renewable energy support in 2025. A bonus of up to 20 per cent would be awarded to photovoltaic and electricity storage projects incorporating European-made components. Austria highlighted the role of expertise in inverters and battery storage technologies in advancing the energy transition. The bonus would take effect from the second funding call on 23rd June 2025.
