Eternal Sun Group B.V., a Netherlands-based provider of solar module testing solutions, has acquired key assets of WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH through an asset deal. The acquisition was financed by Bolster, a Dutch long-term investment firm, and led to the formation of WAVELABS Eternal Sun GmbH, headquartered in Leipzig, Germany. According to Eternal Sun, the Leipzig site is continuing operations with its existing R&D, manufacturing, and sales teams. WAVELABS has been known for its LED-based solar simulators used in solar cell testing, while Eternal Sun has focused on module-level testing solutions. Both brands are being retained to address different segments of the solar metrology market. The latest acquisition has enhanced Eternal Sun’s capacity to offer integrated metrology services for research and industrial-scale PV applications.
