Equinix, a US-headquartered digital infrastructure company operating global data centers, has commissioned a group captive solar project in India under its long-term Power Purchase Agreement with CleanMax, an India-based renewable energy solutions provider. According to Equinix, 26.4 MWp of contracted solar capacity was fully operational from November 1, 2025, supplying electricity allocated to its Indian operations. Equinix said that the project was expected to generate around 41.4 million kWh annually, providing contracted energy for its facilities across the country. As per Equinix, the arrangement has supported its intended power requirements while expanding the company’s renewable sourcing in India. Equinix added that the project also formed part of its broader regional energy strategy.
