Envusa Energy, a renewable energy firm, has reported progress on the Koruson 2 Mooi Plaats solar installation. The project included the Mooi Plaats PV Project of 240 MW, the Umsobomvu Wind Project of 140 MW, and the Hartebeesthoek Wind Project of 140 MW. These projects were located in the Koruson cluster in the Hydra supply area on the Eastern Cape and Northern Cape border. All projects were connected to the new Koruson 400 kV Main Transmission Substation, built as part of EDF Power Solutions’ Koruson 1 cluster. Envusa Energy acted as an intermediate entity, aggregating power from the projects and selling to off-taker mines.
