UK-headquartered Enviromena has gained approval from East Riding of Yorkshire Council for its 35 MW (AC) Daisy Hill Solar Farm near Hull. It is expected to add around GBP 32 million to the East Riding economy through new jobs, local contracts and investment. The facility will supply clean power to over 18,000 homes and cut about 8,500 tons of CO₂ each year. The solar farm will help UK energy security by reducing dependence on imported fuels. Along with this, Enviromena also backed local projects such as school and village upgrades and included biodiversity plans like native planting and hedgerow restoration, praised by Natural England. The approval follows with its 49.9 MW High Barns project in Hartlepool earlier in 2025.
