Daikin Industries Ltd., the Japanese maker of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, signed a five-year agreement with Houston-based renewable energy supplier ENGIE North America. The deal has been structured to deliver 100% renewable electricity to all Texas facilities of Daikin, including Daikin Texas Technology Park (DTTP), Daikin's largest factory and North American headquarters. Power is being drawn from the Impact Solar project in North Texas, which has been in operations since 2021. The agreement is expected to support Daikin’s target of achieving Net Zero operations at DTTP by 2030. Prior to this deal, Daikin had installed an on-site solar array at DTTP. Daikin has also worked with ForeFront Power, a San Francisco-based renewable energy solutions firm, over two years to create a unified procurement strategy. ForeFront Power has confirmed its advisory role in aligning the plan with Daikin’s energy goals.
