ENGIE Resources, a subsidiary of ENGIE North America, has announced a nine-year renewable energy supply agreement with AstraZeneca. The arrangement has covered solar power and RECs for AstraZeneca’s manufacturing operations in Coppell, Texas. ENGIE has sourced the supply from the 114 MW Tyson Nick Solar Project in Lamar County. The agreement was structured to support emissions reduction by avoiding 94,447 metric tons of CO₂. AstraZeneca was described as a strategic customer within ENGIE’s global pharmaceutical accounts. AstraZeneca was also noted as one of the first firms with climate targets verified under the Science-Based Targets Initiative’s Net-Zero Corporate Standard. The deal has aligned with AstraZeneca’s expansion of its U.S. manufacturing capacity.
