Enery, an independent power producer, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. signed a 15-year hybrid Power Purchase Agreement in Bulgaria. The deal included electricity supply from a new 122 MW solar park with two battery storage systems of 70 MWh and 130 MWh capacity. The agreement was Bulgaria’s longest PPA and delivered 60,000 MWh of electricity annually, supporting Teva’s two pharmaceutical plants in the country. The project was expected to generate 200 GWh annually and avoid about 15,840 metric tons of CO₂e emissions each year. It was Enery’s 15th PPA in Central and Eastern Europe and its second with a Bulgarian off-taker. The solar park was located on non-arable land in Knizhovnik and DolnoVoyvodino, Haskovo municipality.
