Energiekontor AG, a Germany-based wind and solar project developer, reached financial close for its first two solar projects in France. The projects, Rignac (EKF Parc Solaire Dongay) and Lachapelle-Auzac (EKF Parc Solaire Le Batut), are in the Occitania region and total around 40 MW. Building permits were secured in early 2024, and both were awarded under the French PPE2 Sol P6 tender in autumn 2024 by the Commission de régulation de l'énergie. The awarded tariff is valid for 20 years with annual inflation indexing. The projects will be added to Energiekontor’s portfolio after commissioning. These are the first French projects to enter the realisation phase as part of the company’s 2023–2028 strategy. Additional applications for about 130 MW are currently under review in France.
