Karlsruhe, Germany-headquartered EnBW and Siemens Energy have entered into a long-term PPA for the 40.8 MW Frankenförde solar plant in Brandenburg. The project was completed in June 2025. It is set to deliver about 40 GWh per year for ten years starting from January 2026. Siemens Energy has sourced all global electricity from green power since 2023 and was expected to cover nearly one-quarter of its German demand through this agreement. The partnership followed earlier joint work on a hydrogen-ready gas plant in Stuttgart-Münster, the Hohe See and Albatros offshore wind farms, and the SuedLink transmission project. Both companies has continued expanding their cooperation to support secure electricity supply across Germany.
