Emerge, a joint venture between Masdar and EDF Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates Development Bank (EDB) to develop and finance distributed solar projects in the UAE. Under this agreement, Emerge is to identify renewable energy project opportunities, while EDB will evaluate and structures financing solutions. The collaboration is aimed at helping commercial and industrial companies reduce costs and enhance energy efficiency. Emerge’s technical capabilities are to be paired with EDB’s financial resources to implement viable solar projects. The partnership also targets businesses to adopt clean energy without disrupting core operations.
