Electrica, Romania’s energy companies, has completed and commissioned the 27.056 MW Satu Mare 2 photovoltaic park near Botiz commune in Satu Mare County. The €20 million project, is partly funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), that includes a 110/20 kV transformer station and grid connection works. It was built to grow Electrica Group’s renewable energy portfolio and support Romania’s shift to clean power. The solar park is expected to enhance green energy output, cut carbon emissions and supply affordable electricity to nearby communities. Electrica said the project aligns with its long-term plan to expand renewable capacity and use modern technologies.
