Econergy Renewable Energy, independent power producer (IPP) based in Israel, has connected its 87 MW Oradea solar PV project in Romania to the national grid. The project is jointly owned with Phoenix Holdings, with Econergy holding 51%. Construction cost was €62,355 (~$ 72545), and Econergy invested €29,832 (~$ 34712). Forecasted annual revenues from electricity sales were €7,465 (~$ 8686), generating EBITDA of €5,980 and FFO of €4,001. Additional revenues include €787 from EPCm and €299 from asset management. A 68 MW battery storage system is planned, costing €19 million, with expected annual revenues of €7–9 million and EBITDA of €4–5 million. Oradea is Econergy’s fourth operational project in Romania. The company now has 447 MW connected, 559 MW under construction, and 788 MW ready for connection. Financing discussions for Oradea were ongoing.
