Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd. has acquiredNofar Energy Ltd.’s 50% stake in the 155 MW Ratesti solar project in Romania. The plant has been operational since 2023 and is now fully owned by Econergy through its subsidiary Econergy International Ltd. The €45.6 million (~53.09 million) transaction, payable in three instalments through June 2026, included assumption of Nofar’s €14.85 million (~$ 16.8 million) shareholder loan. Econergy expected a capital gain of €13 million from the deal. The company planned to invest €32 million (~$ 37.26 million) to add a 120 MW battery energy storage system at the Ratesti site by Q2 2026. The system was projected to generate €15 million in annual revenue and €12 million in EBITDA. Econergy managed a diversified 3.5 GW portfolio across solar, wind, and storage projects in Romania.
