China-based DMEGC Solar was upgraded to an ‘A’ rating in the PV ModuleTech Bankability Ratings 2024 Q4, up from ‘BBB,’ due to financial health and manufacturing growth. The company recently commissioned a 6 GW n-type cell plant, increasing total cell production to 23 GW and module capacity to 21 GW. DMEGC ranked eighth in Wood Mackenzie’s Global Solar Module Manufacturers List and has shipped over 50 GW of modules. Despite industry-wide price declines, DMEGC has remained profitable in the past two years. PV Tech’s bankability score assesses financial stability, shipments, capacity, and technology using historical supplier data. DMEGC Solar has been listed in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 PV Module Maker rankings for six years and recognized as an EUPD Research ‘Top Brand PV Modules’ since 2018. DMEGC Solar’s recent TÜV SÜD carbon neutrality certification further strengthens its position in the PV industry.
