Cypress Creek Renewables, a US-based developer and operator of solar and energy storage projects headquartered in North Carolina has announced the financial close of the 75 MW AC Sundance Solar and Energy Storage project in Elbert County, Colorado. The hybrid facility includes a 50 MW / 200 MWh battery system.  As per Cypress Creek Renewables, construction financing of about $190 million was arranged by MUFG Bank, with BNP Paribas, DNB Bank ASA, and Santander participating, and Fifth Third Bank serving as tax equity investor. This facility is designed to supply electricity to approximately 25,000 homes through the CORE Electric Cooperative network.McCarthy Building Companies is the EPC contractor for the project, which mobilized in July 2025. The facility is expected to start operations by late 2026 and support Colorado’s clean-energy targets.
