Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has received a INR 445 crore (~ $53.3 million) order from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) to implement 77.40 MW rooftop solar systems across five divisions—Kovur, Tirupati Rural, Puttur, and Chittoor (O) and (R). The project involves design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2 kW rooftop systems under a utility-led CAPEX aggregation model. It aims to solarize 38,699 SC and ST households, expanding clean energy access in underserved areas. The work is expected to be completed within six months. Crompton Greaves said the contract is a domestic order with no related-party involvement. The Mumbai-based company operates in lighting and electrical consumer durables segments. In Q1 FY26, its consolidated net profit fell 19.4 % to INR 122.29 crore (~ $14.6 million)amid a 6.5 % revenue decline.
