Computer Recycling, a US-based provider of electronics recycling and IT asset disposition services, has launched a dedicated solar panel recycling service for aging and defective equipment. The service targets solar developers, contractors, utilities, municipalities, and building owners seeking compliant disposal of solar panels and associated components. Computer Recycling said that accepted items include crystalline silicon and thin-film panels, damaged modules, solar batteries, racking, inverters, and other electronic waste. The company has introduced live-load pickup services for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar installations. Recovered materials such as aluminum, silicon, and copper are redirected into manufacturing supply chains through a manual disassembly process. According to Computer Recycling, the service reduces landfill disposal and supports material recovery in line with regulatory and sustainability requirements.
