Australia-based CleanPeak Energy has announced the acquisition of five solar and battery energy storage development sites in NSW from Fortitude Renewables. Four projects at Ashley, Gunnedah, Dubbo, and Culcairn were completed, while the Warialda site remained subject to DA approval. Each site has a DA and a connection agreement for a 5 MW solar facility with BESS, increasing CleanPeak Energy’s portfolio by a combined 25 MW of solar capacity and 100 MWh of battery storage. The projects will move into construction in 2026 and are expected to be operational by early 2027. Once operational, the portfolio is projected to generate around 90 GWh annually and approximately 85,000 LGCs. The completed assets will support new customer supply contracts, including Harris Farm and NAB, covering about 80 GWh of committed energy. The acquisition was funded through shareholder equity and followed the announcement of a strategic partnership with KKR.
