Clayco, a US-based design-build construction and real estate development firm, has launched a Power and Energy division to deliver utility-scale PV and battery storage infrastructure across the US. The new division has been established to provide integrated EPC services for PV power plants and BESS US-wide. According to Clayco, electricity demand in the US is projected to increase by 15% to 20% by 2030, driven by data centers, manufacturing expansion, electrified transportation, and residential consumption. Clayco has also stated that 85% of new power generating capacity added in the US during 2025 consisted of utility-scale PV and BESS. Clayco has already secured a PV and storage project in Illinois, which is currently in the design phase and is expected to mobilize construction activities in 2026.
