Philippines-based Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC), a renewable energy company, was awarded 1.212 GW of capacity under the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program 4 (GEAP-4) held on November 6, 2025. The awarded solar and Integrated Renewable Energy and Energy Storage System (IRESS) projects are located in Isabela, Batangas, Quezon and Negros Occidental. CREC had previously secured 916 MW under GEAP-2 in 2023 for completion between 2025 and 2028. In September 2025, CREC received a US $ 55 million loan from Pentagreen Capital to support its ongoing and planned solar projects, which are scheduled for delivery between 2026-2029.
