Ciel & Terre International has confirmed the completion of the 11 MW Saint-Elix floating solar project in France. The facility, developed by SOLVEO Energies, is built on quarry ponds and is equipped with 17,570 photovoltaic modules. Ciel & Terre designed, supplied, and built the floating platform supporting the installation. Quarry ponds were highlighted as effective sites, with about 100 MW of floating solar capacity already installed in France since 2024. Alongside this project, SOLVEO Energies was preparing a 4 MW ground-mounted solar plant locatedadjacent to the Saint-Elix floating site. Both projects were scheduled for connection and commissioning together, creating an integrated solar development. The initiative reflects the growing application of floating solar technology in Europe and its ability to complement ground-based plants
