Chint Solar, a European renewable energy developer and EPC, and Voltis, a London-based developer, established a joint venture called Voltison to develop about 5 GW of renewable and storage projects across the United Kingdom. The partnership planned over 15 projects, including solar, wind and battery sites ranging from 100 MW to more than 750 MW. With land rights already secured, the portfolio was designed to feature hybrid projects combining utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage systems. The venture marked Chint Solar’s entry into the UK market, expanding its experience from more than 1 GW of completed projects across Europe. Alexa Capital served as financial advisor to Voltis, while Ashurst and Eversheds Sutherland acted as legal advisors to Voltis and Chint Solar respectively.
