CESC Ltd, a Kolkata-based power utility company, has announced that its subsidiary, Purvah Green Power Pvt Ltd, has received a Letter of Award from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).The LOA is to develop a 300 MW solar power project integrated with an energy storage system. According to CESC, the Letter of Award was issued by SECI on October 27 and has been formally accepted by Purvah Green Power. This selection was made under SECI’s Request for Selection for setting up 2,000 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected projects along with solar capacity 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh of storage capacity across India. The project is planned for a 25-year term with a fixed tariff of INR 2.86(~ $0.034) per kWh.
