Ardian, a global private investment firm, has acquired a 116MW portfolio of 117 operational solar plants located across Italy. The assets benefit from Conto Energia feed-in tariffs and hold over 10 years of operating history. Many plants were recently revamped with Tier 1 technology to improve performance and reliability. The seller, E2E, led by Gianluca Lancellotti, developed and optimized the portfolio over the past three years. This acquisition strengthens Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund's (ACEEF) Italian platform, which now holds approximately 400MW of wind, solar, hydro, and biogas assets in operation and around 400MW under development. InEnergy, which manages ACEEFs Italian assets, will oversee operations. In March this year, Ardian completed the Akuo acquisition to strengthen its clean energy operations in Paris, supporting its broader European renewable growth strategy.
