UK-based Ampyr Solar Europe has inaugurated Solar Park Noordoostpolder in the Netherlands on 11 September 2025. The project covers 54 hectares with 159,000 panels, providing 96 MWcapacity, enough for 33,000 homes, and cutting 32,000 tons of COâ‚‚ yearly. It is part of a 16-kilometre corridor combining solar, wind, storage, and grid pooling at a TenneT substation. The municipality coordinated integration with other developers to ensure the parks appear as a single unified cluster. The corridor is planned to reach 1 GW capacity connected to one substation, easing grid congestion. A share of electricity is contracted to Rockwool and VW Kraftwerk GmbH, supporting industrial decarbonisation. Ampyr Solar Europe has over 1 GW pipeline in the Netherlands within a 7 GWEuropean portfolio.
