The Canadian firm Aisa Group has confirmed a $600 million investment under Argentina’s RIGI scheme for a 1 GW solar park in San Juan. The first 50 MW phase was already submitted to power its Gualcamayo mine. The remaining capacity is set for submission soon.The project site covers about 40,000 hectares and will generate 400 jobs during construction. In San Luis, Aisa is building another 51 MW solar plant, backed by a $35 million investment and expected to create 150 jobs. Both projects will support industrial demand and the national grid. Separately, Aisa is advancing the $1 billion Carbonatos Profundos gold mine, also under RIGI. It includes an underground mine, flotation plant, and will generate 1,500 construction jobs and 400 permanent roles.
