Actis, a sustainable infrastructure investor headquartered in London, has acquired Stride Climate Investments from a fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management. According to Actis, the acquisition includes 371 MW (414 MWp) of operational PV assets spread across 21 projects in seven Indian states. The company said that Stride’s portfolio has nearly ten years of operating history and is backed by long-term pay-as-produce PPA with central, state, and private sector offtakers. As per Actis, the geographic distribution of assets contributes to operational stability and reduces exposure to regional risks. With this acquisition, Stride has become Actis’ third active energy platform in India, joining BluPine Energy and Athena Renewables. Actis stated that it has invested over $7.1 billion in Asia and has built or operated more than 8 GW of energy capacity, including 5.5 GW in renewables.
