BrightNight and Cordelio Power have secured a $414 million construction credit facility for their 300 MW Box Canyon solar project in Pinal County, Arizona. Project construction began in December 2023, with operations slated to commence in the first half of 2025. The project, supported by a 20-year PPA with the Southwest Public Power Agency, is expected to provide electricity for 77,000 homes annually and reduce CO2 emissions by around 600 metric tons per hour. Blattner serves as the project’s EPC contractor. Utilizing BrightNight’s PowerAlpha platform, the project is optimized for performance and cost-effectiveness. Zions Bancorporation acted as the Administrative Agent and Coordinating Lead Arranger.
