Brightcore Energy, specializing in renewable energy solutions, has undertaken solar projects for Princeton University’s Facilities Organization. The projects involve four arrays totaling 2.2 MW, with two rooftop-mounted on the TIGER and CUB buildings and two canopy-mounted at the Meadows and Stadium garages in Princeton, NJ. These arrays consist of 4,039 panels and are projected to generate 2,588 MWh annually. Construction is scheduled to commence in summer 2024. Once operational, the solar arrays will prevent about 1,834 metric tons of CO2 emissions yearly, equivalent to over 2 million pounds of coal combustion. Princeton aims to achieve Net Carbon Neutrality by 2046, with a focus on renewables.
