Vietnam-based Boviet Solar is constructing a $294 million solar panel manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina, scheduled to start production by mid-2025. Phase I will focus on manufacturing Gamma Series Monofacial and Vega Series Bifacial PV modules with a 2 GW annual capacity. Over half the equipment is already installed, with full setup expected by February 2025. Phase II, beginning in 2026, will introduce high-efficiency solar cell production. Modules produced at the facility are anticipated to support utility-scale and commercial solar projects, while approximately 908 skilled jobs are expected to be created, contributing to local economic development and meeting increasing demand for renewable energy solutions in North America.
