Birch Creek completes 42MW Altona Solar project in Missouri

Birch Creek Energy, LLC, a St. Louis-based renewable energy company, has announced the completion of financing and full operation of the 42MW Altona Solar project in Audrain County, Missouri. This utility-scale solar facility spans 208 acres and generates enough clean energy to power over 6,300 homes, connecting to Ameren Missouri’s grid. The project is part of Birch Creek’s independent power producer (IPP) strategy and follows the recent completion of the 49MW Earp Solar project in Illinois. Financing was secured with tax equity from Celtic Bank and permanent debt from West Town Bank & Trust.
