Recurrent Energy, a United States-based solar and storage developer, has completed the sale of its Gunning hybrid project in Australia. The project includes a 275 MW DC solar facility paired with a 120 MW battery system, and was acquired by a European infrastructure and investment group. The portfolio will connect to the National Electricity Market through a Transgrid transmission line near Canberra, and is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 76,000 homes. The divestment follows Recurrent Energy’s financial close on the 171 MW Carwarp Energy Park and follows the development and sale of the Mannum 100 MW/200 MWh BESS. These transactions demonstrate Recurrent Energy’s strengthening activity within Australia’s utility-scale hybrid project segment.
