Lodestone Energy, a New Zealand-based solar generator-retailer, has signed a long-term electricity agreement with Hall’s Group Limited, a New Zealand-based cold-chain logistics provider. The agreement allows Hall’s to offset its annual electricity consumption using certified renewable electricity generated by Lodestone’s solar farms. Electricity supplied under the agreement will be backed by the commissioned Whitianga solar farm in the Coromandel, the Clandeboye solar farm in Canterbury currently under construction, and a further solar farm yet to be announced. Lodestone Energy has confirmed that it is developing and operating a solar generation portfolio exceeding 1,000 GWh across New Zealand.
