Foresight group’sThe Australian Renewables Income Fund (ARIF) has completed an AUD 700 million portfolio refinancing. The transaction consolidated debt across ten operating renewable energy projects in Australia. It included an AUD 620 million term loan and an AUD 80 million multi-purpose facility. The facility was provided by a syndicate of ANZ, Westpac, Mizuho, HSBC, and Bank of China. RBC Capital Markets was the financial advisor, while White & Case acted as borrower’s counsel. The refinancing has offered improved pricing, debt sizing, and greater flexibility compared with earlier financing. Proceeds were used to refinance existing project finance debt across ARIF’s assets. The transaction has also created a funding platform to support future growth. ARIF is expected to utilize the facility for project diversification in Australia and New Zealand.
