Kitchener-headquartered Canadian Solar, a manufacturer of solar photovoltaic modules and Flow Power worked together on the solar project using anti-hail solar panels in Australia. The Coonawarra Energy Project in South Australia included a solar farm and a battery system connected to it. It was the first time Canadian Solar’s anti-hail panels were used in Australia. These panels were tested to handle harsh weather, like hailstorms. Flow Power planned to use this technology in more projects going forward. The aim was to improve the strength of the panels and make sure they work well in tough weather. Installation of the solar panels was expected to start in the coming months of 2025. Also, Canadian Solar report $1.5B in revenue, 8.2 GW in module shipments, and a gross margin of 14.3% driven by storage and project sales in fourth quarter of 2024 .
