Portugal-based TagEnergy has acquired ACE Power from Pelion New Energy and minority stakeholders. The acquisition added a 6 GW pipeline of wind, solar and battery projects in Australia. With this addition, TagEnergy’s pipeline has expanded to 10 GW nationwide. The company already had 1.33 GW of renewable projects under construction and operation, including Victoria’s Golden Plains Wind Farm. The acquisition also strengthened its local presence by integrating 27 ACE Power employees. ACE Power’s co-development projects were set to continue under TagEnergy. Andy Scullion, ACE Power’s founder, was appointed to lead Australian development. Théo Imbert transitioned to a strategy and integration role. Advisory support for the transaction was provided by White & Case, EY, Aurecon, Lazard Australia and DLA Piper.
